Dịch đoạn mở đầu: "Nhựa đã trở nên rất phổ biến trong đời sống hằng ngày; tuy nhiên, hầu hết các vật dụng bằng nhựa mất tới 1.000 năm để phân hủy ở các bãi rác. Liệu chúng ta có thể vừa tận hưởng sự tiện lợi của nhựa vừa có một thế giới xanh hơn không?"

Bài 3: Complete the summary notes (no more than TWO words)
Đề: Read the email extracts again. Complete the summary notes with information from the text. Use no more than TWO words for each gap.
- (1) cardboard boxes — "use cardboard boxes instead of plastic packaging" (từ email của Hai).
- (2) reusable — "bring a reusable water bottle" (từ email của Phuong).
- (3) plastic bags — "reuse plastic bags many times" (Hai nói tái sử dụng túi nhựa nhiều lần).
- (4) numbers — "avoid plastics with numbers that are hard to recycle" (Ha nói về các số trên đáy hộp nhựa; số 1 và 2 dễ tái chế nhất).
- (5) rinse out — "rinse out containers before recycling" (Binh rút kinh nghiệm phải tráng sạch hộp).
Lưu ý: với gap (3), đáp án dựa vào câu "I try to reuse them again and again" — "them" chỉ plastic bags.

Đây là câu hỏi thảo luận theo ý kiến cá nhân. Gợi ý mẫu:
"One green habit that has become mine is bringing a reusable water bottle to school every day, so I rarely buy bottled water. In the future, I would like to develop the habit of rinsing out plastic containers before recycling them, because I have learnt that contaminated recyclables often end up in landfills."
Dịch: "Một thói quen xanh đã trở thành của tôi là mang bình nước tái sử dụng đến trường mỗi ngày... Trong tương lai, tôi muốn phát triển thói quen tráng sạch hộp nhựa trước khi tái chế..."
IV. SPEAKING – Paper: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!
Bài 1: Sort activities into Reduce, Reuse, or Recycle
Đề: How can we save trees, energy, and water used to make paper? Sort these activities into Reduce, Reuse, or Recycle activities.
Nguyên tắc phân loại:
- Reduce = giảm dùng giấy mới.
- Reuse = dùng lại tờ giấy đó cho mục đích khác.
- Recycle = xử lý giấy đã qua sử dụng để biến thành thứ mới.

- Which of the activities (a–i) above are you doing?
- Can you suggest more ideas? How will they help save the environment?
Gợi ý câu trả lời:
Q1: "I am already printing on both sides of the paper and using the blank side of a sheet to take notes. I also avoid printing things out when I can read them on my laptop." Q2: "We could reuse old notebooks for rough work, take digital photos of documents instead of photocopying, and donate used books. These actions save trees, reduce the energy and water needed to produce paper, and cut down the waste sent to landfills."
Bài 3: Possible responses to promote a greener lifestyle
Đề: Work in groups. Read the situations below and think of some possible responses to promote a greener lifestyle. Provide reasons for each answer.

"We don't need to print all 50 pages. We can share the file online and read it on our phones or laptops. If some parts are really necessary, we can print only those on both sides. This way we reduce paper use and save trees and energy." (đây là Reduce)
Tình huống 3 (chủ tịch CLB muốn mua nhiều giấy nhớ Post-it cho trò chơi):
"Instead of buying new Post-it notes, we can cut up used paper into small pieces, or ask everyone to use the blank side of old sheets. We could even play the game digitally using a shared app. This reuses paper and avoids buying new ones." (đây là Reuse / Reduce)
Bài 4: Report your group's answers
Đề: Report your group's answers to the whole class. Vote for the most interesting responses.
Đây là hoạt động báo cáo trước lớp. Mẫu mở đầu khi trình bày:
"In our group, for the first situation we decided to reuse the leaflets instead of throwing them away because... For the second situation, we suggested sharing the file online to reduce paper... We think the most interesting response is..."
