Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a powerful tool in creating content for the mass media, bringing both benefits and challenges. On the positive side, AI offers several advantages. First, it can classify huge amounts of information and recognise false or unsuitable news, which helps the public access reliable content. Second, AI can automatically turn data into different forms such as images, videos, and graphic organisers, making news more attractive. In addition, it provides personalised recommendations, so audiences can easily find programmes that match their interests. However, the use of AI also causes some serious problems. The most obvious one is the increasing cost, because developing, installing, and maintaining the software is very expensive. Moreover, when content is created automatically by AI tools, people may rely on machines too much and gradually lose their own creativity. Most worryingly, AI is now able to report and write, which means it could replace many human jobs in the media industry. In conclusion, although AI makes content creation faster and smarter, we should use it wisely to limit its negative effects.
