General Vo Nguyen Giap was born in 1911 in Quang Binh Province. He was a brilliant military leader. He led the Vietnamese army to victory in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954. He is considered one of the greatest generals in history. He died in 2013 at the age of 102.
