Bài 1a: Reading – Find a word and a phrase

Đề: Read the passage. Find a word and a phrase from the passage and write them under their correct pictures.

Bài đọc nhắc tới các phương tiện: "by air, dogsled, or on foot" và "float planes".

Đáp án:

  • Tranh 1 (máy bay đáp trên mặt nước): float plane (cụm từ – a phrase)

Alaska có lẽ là bang tuyệt vời nhất nước Mỹ. Nó giáp cả Bắc Băng Dương và Thái Bình Dương, có tới ba triệu cái hồ — tức là 4 hồ cho mỗi người dân. Nhiều thành phố ở Alaska không thể tới bằng đường bộ, đường biển hay đường sông; cách duy nhất là đi bằng máy bay, xe chó kéo hoặc đi bộ. Vì thế Alaska có sân bay trên mặt nước bận rộn nhất thế giới (Lake Hood Seaplane Base) với gần 200 chiếc thủy phi cơ cất, hạ cánh mỗi ngày. Mùa hè mặt trời gần như không lặn suốt 3 tháng, còn mùa đông thì hiếm khi thấy mặt trời, trời tối. Người dân Alaska rất tự hào về bang đẹp và độc đáo của mình.

Đề: Listen and complete each sentence with ONE word.

Vì cô không nghe được file audio, đây là đáp án phù hợp nhất với nội dung (chủ đề "flying bike" – xe đạp bay). Em nghe lại để kiểm tra nhé:

  1. At the meeting they introduce the flying bike.
  2. The product aims at school children and their parents.
  3. Question 1 is about special objects in the air.
  4. Question 2 is about air traffic laws.
  5. Question 3 is about how the flying bike finds a place to land.

Bài 4: Writing – Paragraph about a future means of transport (~70 words)

Đề: Choose one of the future means of transport (1. bamboo-copter, 2. balloon, 3. driverless car). Write a paragraph of about 70 words. Cần nhắc tới: tên, tốc độ, mức dùng năng lượng, số người chở, độ an toàn.

Bài viết mẫu (driverless car):

In the future, I think the driverless car will be very popular. It is a car that can drive itself without a driver. It is quite fast and very safe because it uses computers and sensors to avoid accidents. It can carry four or five people at the same time. The car runs on electricity, so it uses clean energy and does not pollute the air. I really hope to travel in one someday.

Trang này là bảng từ vựng tổng hợp (glossary), không có bài tập. Nội dung gồm:

  • Abbreviations (viết tắt từ loại): adj = tính từ, adv = trạng từ, con = liên từ, n = danh từ, pre = giới từ, v = động từ.
  • Unit 1: từ vựng về sở thích, hoạt động (belong to, gardening, jogging, yoga, responsibility, valuable...).
  • Unit 2: từ vựng về sức khỏe & làn da (acne, chapped, disease, protein, vitamin, sunburn...).

Mỗi từ kèm phiên âm và nghĩa tiếng Việt, dùng để tra cứu khi ôn tập. Em nên dùng phần này để học thuộc từ vựng theo từng Unit.
